i have the same problem on windows server 2008 r2.

I tried 3 times to install version 8 but still the same problem.
I tried also to install version 7.58 and again I have the same problem.

i can't create any Post Offices and therefore it is useless.

when I click on the "+" side Servers, I get this error message 5 times :

System.DllNotFoundException: Impossible de charger la DLL 'MEAISO.DLL': Le module spécifié est introuvable. (Exception de HRESULT : 0x8007007E)
à MailEnable.Administration.Service.SetCurrentHost(String& CurrentHost)
à MailEnable.Administration.Service.set_Host(String value)
à MailEnable.Administration.Console.ServiceNode..ctor(String ServiceDescription, String ServiceIdentifier, Boolean hideExpandIcon)

i found MEAISO.dll in C:\Program Files (x86)\Mail Enable\Bin\ and IME_ADMIN user have read and execute rights.

i have run 1., 2., 3., 4. and 12. utilities from system configuration utility in C:\Program Files (x86)\Mail Enable\Bin\MEInstaller.exe as administrator but the problem persists.

Please, does anyone have a solution?

I finally solved the problem and installed 8.04 version on Windows 2008 R2 64bit. :D

For that you need to manually update the environment variable "path"

computer properties > advanced system settings > environment variables > select "path" in system variables > edit

and add this: C:\PROGRA~2\MAILEN~1\bin64;C:\PROGRA~2\MAILEN~1\BIN; (if your mailenable is installed at "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mail Enable")
or your specific path.

enjoy!

thanks MailEnable for this wonderful product

Finally, it is preferable to use full path as

C:\Program Files (x86)\Mail Enable\Bin;C:\Program Files (x86)\Mail Enable\bin64

otherwise the diagnostics utility will say that the path to the bin folder is not defined.

Make sure you do not have a space after

C:\Program Files (x86)\Mail Enable\Bin;C:\Program Files (x86)\Mail Enable\bin64

I cut and pasted the value and it included a space in the path after bin64.

It took me two hours to figure out this and why this solution was not working for me.

Now I have removed the space after the path and it works.

Same problem, got the error System.DllNotFoundException: Unable to load DLL 'MEAIPO.DLL': when expanding the mailenable console.
Reported it to Mailenable, rebooted the machine, but no help.

Then I read on this forum that you need to add the mail enable bin path to the PATH environment variable manually. - and it worked.

Image

It's odd that this has such a simple fix, and Mailenable haven't fixed it yet. I think my PATH variable was particularly long > 2K, so it might have effected things

Thank you for the explaination

如何手动卸载MailEnable

How to manually uninstall MailEnable

SUMMARY

MailEnable can be uninstalled using Add/Remove Programs under the Windows control panel. If for some reason this is not possible, the following article outlines how to manually uninstall MailEnable. MailEnable also creates data files after installation on your server, these will not be automatically removed on uninstall (i.e. emails received are not deleted when you uninstall the product). If you wish to remove this information, you will need to also delete these MailEnable directories, as explained in Step 7 below.

DETAIL

First attempt to run the uninstall the application using the Add/Remove Programs control panel applet - this should remove all components with the exception of configuration data.

The following procedure can be applied to manually remove MailEnable or any of its residual components. Please note that some of these steps are likely to indicate errors, which will likely because the component has already been removed using the normal uninstall process:

1. Open the IIS Manager. This can be found under (Start->Programs->Administrative Tools->Internet Service Manager). Examine each of the Web Sites installed on your computer. If any of these sites contain either a MEAdmin or MEWebMail virtual directory, then remove the virtual directory. Remove the MailEnable WebMail IIS site, the MailEnable WebAdmin site, the MailEnable Protocols site and the MailEnable Mobile site. Remove the MailEnableEASPool and MailEnableAppPool application pools. (you may need to first stop the applications pools and kill any w3wp.exe proceses via Windows Task Manager that are running under the IME_ADMIN account).

2. Open Component Services (Start->Programs->Administrative Tools->Component Services). Browse the folder tree under Component Services->Computers->My Computer->COM+ Applications. Remove any COM+ applications that have "Mail Enable" in their title. (this applies to version 4 or prior).

3. Using the Windows Service Control Manager, stop any MailEnable Services that are running on the machine. The Service Control Manager can be found under Start->Programs->Administrative Tools->Services.

4. Using the Windows command prompt, go to the C:\Program Files\Mail Enable\Bin directory. Run the following applications with the -remove option. Some applications may not exist on your machine, depending on your version of MailEnable, so may produce an error which can be ignored:

MEHTTPS.EXE -remove
MEIMAPS.EXE -remove
MELSC.exe -remove
MEMTA.exe -remove
MEPOC.exe -remove
MEPOPC.exe -remove
MEPOPS.exe -remove
MERADMS.exe -remove
MESMTPC.exe -remove
MEMIS.exe -remove

5. Using the command window opened in Step 4, run the following commands from the command prompt (if MailEnable is installed on a 32Bit Windows operating system then replace the "SYSWOW64" with "SYSTEM32"):

%WINDIR%\SYSWOW64\REGSVR32 /u MEAOAM.DLL
%WINDIR%\SYSWOW64\REGSVR32 /u MEAOAU.DLL
%WINDIR%\SYSWOW64\REGSVR32 /u MEAODP.DLL
%WINDIR%\SYSWOW64\REGSVR32 /u MEAOLS.DLL
%WINDIR%\SYSWOW64\REGSVR32 /u MEAOMF.DLL
%WINDIR%\SYSWOW64\REGSVR32 /u MEAOPC.DLL
%WINDIR%\SYSWOW64\REGSVR32 /u MEAOPO.DLL
%WINDIR%\SYSWOW64\REGSVR32 /u MEAOPS.DLL
%WINDIR%\SYSWOW64\REGSVR32 /u MEAORA.DLL
%WINDIR%\SYSWOW64\REGSVR32 /u MEAOSM.DLL
%WINDIR%\SYSWOW64\REGSVR32 /u MEAOSO.DLL
%WINDIR%\SYSWOW64\REGSVR32 /u MEAOSP.DLL
%WINDIR%\SYSWOW64\REGSVR32 /u MEAOSV.DLL
%WINDIR%\SYSWOW64\REGSVR32 /u MEAdmin.dll
%WINDIR%\SYSWOW64\REGSVR32 /u MEAdminAV.dll
%WINDIR%\SYSWOW64\REGSVR32 /u MEAdminFiltering.dll
%WINDIR%\SYSWOW64\REGSVR32 /u MEAdminHTTPMail.dll
%WINDIR%\SYSWOW64\REGSVR32 /u MEAdminIMAP.dll
%WINDIR%\SYSWOW64\REGSVR32 /u MEAdminLS.dll
%WINDIR%\SYSWOW64\REGSVR32 /u MEAdminMTA.dll
%WINDIR%\SYSWOW64\REGSVR32 /u MEAdminPOPC.dll
%WINDIR%\SYSWOW64\REGSVR32 /u MEAdminPOPS.dll
%WINDIR%\SYSWOW64\REGSVR32 /u MEAdminSF.dll
%WINDIR%\SYSWOW64\REGSVR32 /u MEAdminSMTP.dll
%WINDIR%\SYSWOW64\REGSVR32 /u MEAdminWebAdmin.dll
%WINDIR%\SYSWOW64\REGSVR32 /u MEAdminWebMail.dll

6. From the Windows command prompt (with administrative privileges), type 'regedit'. Delete the following registry keys and their children:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Mail Enable

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Mail Enable

Exit the registry editor.

From the Windows command prompt (with administrative privileges), execute the following commands:

net user IME_ADMIN /DELETE

net user IME_USER /DELETE

net localgroup IME_STORE_GROUP /DELETE

7. Using Windows Explorer, delete the C:\Program Files\Mail Enable directory (or the directory you installed MailEnable to) and all its contents. This will delete all the email data and configuration information.

Note: Some files on your machine may be locked and it may be necessary to reboot your machine to remove any locks on the files before attempting to delete them.  If you have changed paths for items in the MailEnable administration program, such as logging, paths you can delete these.

8. Enterprise Edition users may also need to remove the MailEnable database from any third party database storage software i.e. MySQL or Microsoft SQL Server.  Also the ODBC DSN can be removed.

Manually testing if MailEnable can send mail to remote servers

Many ISPs block outbound SMTP traffic to ensure that spammers do not abuse their service. You can validate whether you can send mail to remote hosts by using the telnet utility.
Instructions follow:

  1. From the Windows Start Menu select Start|Run and enter CMD as the application to run. Then click OK.

  2. At the command prompt, enter the following:
    telnet mail.mailenable.com 25

The remote mail server should respond with an initiation string much like the following:

220 mailenable.com ESMTP Mail Enable SMTP Service, Version: xxxx ready at 02/28/03 14:04:45

  1. Type the word QUIT and then press enter.

If you were successfully able to do this, then no firewall (either local or your ISPs) is preventing outbound SMTP traffic.

The next procedure to try is sending an actual message to the remote host (rather than just determining whether you can connect to it).

This is outlined as follows:

  1. Type the following: HELO YourDomainName and then press enter.

The server should reply with something like 250 xxxxxxxx

  1. Type the following: MAIL FROM: and then press enter.

The server should reply with something like 250 xxxxxxxx

  1. Type the following: RCPT TO: and then press enter.

The server should reply with something like 250 xxxxxxxx

  1. Type the following: DATA and then press enter.

The server should reply with something like 354 xxxxxxxx

  1. Enter the text as follows (Note: [CRLF] = Enter Key):

Subject: Test Message[CRLF] [CRLF].[CRLF]

  1. Type the following: QUIT and then press enter.

If you were able to do this then MailEnable should be able to send messages to the remote host. If your receive an abnormal response for any of the commands you typed in, then you should search the MailEnable knowledge base for any articles that may give an indication of the cause of the error.

Example:
C:\>telnet mail.mailenable.com 25
220 mailenable.com ESMTP MailEnable Service, Version: -1.110- ready at 11/20/03
23:49:40
EHLO test.mydomain.com.au
250-mailenable.com [144.136.51.56], this server offers 4 extensions
250-AUTH LOGIN CRAM-MD5
250-SIZE 10120000
250-HELP
250 AUTH=LOGIN
MAIL FROM:
250 Requested mail action okay, completed
RCPT TO:
250 Requested mail action okay, completed
DATA
354 Start mail input; end with [CRLF].[CRLF] Subject: Test Message

451 ESMTP MailEnable Service temporarily refused connection at

"451 ESMTP MailEnable Service temporarily refused connection" error when connecting to SMTP service

SYMPTOMS

The client or server trying to send email to MailEnable receives the error:

451 ESMTP MailEnable Service temporarily refused connection at 10/19/19 00:01:25 from IP (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx) because the server is too busy.

The SMTP Debug log shows:

ME-E0125: Connection Refused: (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx) was refused because the inbound connection limit has been reached.

CAUSE

The SMTP service has a setting which allows the administrator to restrict how many concurrent inbound connections can be made to the SMTP service. The message occurs when this limit has been reached. There may be cases where this limit is being reached because there are lots of connections trying to brute force passwords, which is preventing your real users connecting.

RESOLUTION

The server is giving a temporary error to the sender, so servers who receive this message will retry. If you need to increase the number of concurrent connections possible, this can be done through the administration program. The setting can be found in the properties of the SMTP service in the Inbound SMTP tab.  This is accessed by expanding the Servers->localhost->Services and Connectors branch, right clicking on the SMTP icon and selecting Properties from the popup menu. Under the Inbound tab, click the Settings button under the Advanced Settings heading and then you can change the maximum number of concurrent connections.

If you are getting a lot of connections trying to brute force guess passwords, make sure you have enabled abuse detection and prevention. In the administration program expand the Servers branch and right click on the localhost icon. Select Properties from the popup menu and click the "Policies" tab. Then click the "Enable abuse detection and prevention" and then click OK. This will make it so that those brute force attempts are dropped faster, and don't hold up a connection for valid users.
